Introducing Citizen’s newest development, the L12 Type X with Y2 axis for even higher functionality.

The Cincom L12 (VII / X) is tailored for ultra‑precise small‑diameter parts up to Ø12 mm (upgradable to Ø16 mm), especially relevant for India’s medical devices and electronics sectors. It uses a guide-bushing feed length of 135 mm or ~30 mm in GBL mode. The main spindle runs at up to 15,000 rpm, with the back spindle reaching 10,000–12,000 rpm. The L12‑X version supports up to 38 tools, including live tools and Y2 axis for complex machining.
Rotary tooling can go up to 10,000 rpm (gang) and 9,000 rpm (back). Feed rates are up to 35 m/min, and power consumption ranges between 6.1 and 6.6 kVA, with average loads of 3.2–3.6 kVA. Weighing between 1,700–2,200 kg, its compact footprint (~1,840 × 970 mm) suits Indian shop floors. LFV technology ensures chip control and extended tool life. Local support from Marubeni-Citizen’s Bangalore center offers installation, programming, and maintenance support, making the L12 ideal for high-precision, small part production.
